We are excited to announce the return of the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run on Sunday 26 March 2023.
For those particularly keen to secure their place on the start line ahead of the launch of the R4W 10K Series in a couple of weeks, we’re thrilled that entries are now open to run for our official charity partner, Velindre.
Velindre, known as the Hospital of Hope, use funds raised at events like the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run to continue to provide the gold standard of care for patients and families in Wales.
A team of fundraisers dedicating their 10K to the Hospital of Hope are expected to take on the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run this March, following on from the past two editions of the race. However, Velindre runners in 2023 will have the opportunity to meet and be led by Welsh Rugby Union legend Shane Williams.
The proud Velindre patron is confirmed to run the 2023 Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay Run as part of #TeamVelindre. The rugby star has been a passionate supporter of Velindre for the past 10 years and next year, will continue his support by joining the Velindre Charity runners over the finish line in aid of Wales’ Premier Cancer Centre.
You can join Shane in making the miles count for Velindre by registering in a Charity place today.
General entries will open on Thursday 10 November, along with other events in the R4W 10K Series in Newport, Porthcawl and Barry Island. You can pre-register to be notified when registration opens by clicking here.
