Welsh rugby union legend and Velindre patron Shane Williams will be making the most of his famous speed at the Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10K on Sunday 26 March.
The former Wales winger is lacing up his trainers for lead charity Velindre, who will have a team out in force to raise money for the Hospital of Hope, helping them continue to be one of the leading specialist anti-cancer treatment centres in Wales.
The Brecon Carreg Cardiff Bay 10K will kick-start the Run 4 Wales 10K Series in style, promising a flat and fast course around the beautiful bay in the Welsh capital.
Runners can still enter to join the race, and we’re urging you to pledge your miles to lead charity Velindre and join Shane Williams in the fight against cancer.
Kylie Mckee, Velindre’s Deputy Head of Fundraising commented: “#We are delighted that Shane is finally able to run in the Cardiff Bay 10K as part of #TeamVelindre. We are also delighted with the record number of #TeamVelindre runners in this year’s run too! The more runners we have the more funds will be raised for Velindre Cancer Centre to treat, care, support and provide hope for more patients and their families here in Wales. If you’d like to be part of #TeamVelindre please sign up today.”
You can register to join the team here. Entries will close in March, so don’t miss out.
